![]() ![]() The water pump broke and R12k later it's as good as new. I love my car and it gave me great service until it turned 8 in October last year. Every day I see it I still think, "what a beauty". Has only 114 000km on the clock and still looks great. I drive a 2006 335i Coupe which i had since new. Hi guys, (and girls, I hope I'm not the only one) In summary, I hope nobody ever gets this kind of failure when the car is out of motorplan. The iDrive system seems a lot faster and more responsive, also the layout is a bit better, so I would assume that it has the latest software on that addressed all those issues. The one thing that I am very happy about is that the new head unit seems to be a bit better than the previous one, in terms of colours and picture quality. Let me also add that this price is what BMW charge internally, so I can only imagine what the retail cost would be. So after all that and a parts bill (which is luckily not for me) of approximately R27k, everything seems to working as intended. So the electronics in the car seemed a bit dodgy, lets hope that this is all sorted and that there is no underlying problem that caused this. Eventually they replaced the Towbar Module (as I have an electrically operated towbar). They then had trouble coding the system for an entire week. ![]() After which they proceeded to replace the entire Head Unit. ![]() Getting back to the repairs, initially the MULF was replaced. I've only had the car since taking delivery of it in early October, for a total of 7 weeks, the rest of the time its been at the dealer for repairs. So I just thought I would give you guys a update on what exactly they've replaced.īelieve it or not, but I only recently got my car back, after having a few loan cars and such, but yeah finally got it back. ![]()
